Refund Policy

Effective date: April 19, 2026

1. Digital Goods — Final Sale

WaifuGen.ai sells digital goods (credits, subscriptions, and credit packs) that are delivered to your account and available for immediate use. Once credits have been consumed (used to send messages, generate images, or create characters) or digital content has been accessed, those credits are non-refundable.

2. EU Right of Withdrawal (14-Day Cooldown)

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you have a right of withdrawal under EU Directive 2011/83/EU for 14 days after purchase. However, when you purchase credits or a subscription and begin using the Service (sending messages, generating images, accessing content) within that 14-day window, you expressly consent to immediate performance of the digital service and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal for any credits already consumed.

If you have made a purchase and have not yet used any credits from that purchase, you may request a full refund within 14 days by contacting [email protected]. Include your account email and the transaction ID.

3. Subscriptions

  • Subscriptions auto-renew each billing period until cancelled.
  • You can cancel at any time through the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access until that date.
  • No prorated refunds are issued for the unused portion of a billing period once it has begun.
  • If you believe you were charged after cancellation or in error, contact [email protected] within 30 days for review.

4. Refund-Eligible Situations

We will review and may issue refunds in the following cases:

  • Duplicate charge — you were charged twice for the same purchase.
  • Unauthorized transaction — a purchase was made on your account that you did not authorize (subject to reasonable investigation).
  • Technical failure preventing service delivery — you paid for credits that were never credited to your account due to a verifiable technical issue on our side.
  • Service unavailable for an extended period — prolonged outage (more than 72 consecutive hours) that prevented you from using a purchased subscription during that period.

Refunds in these cases will be issued to the original payment method within 5-14 business days of approval.

5. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Credits that have already been consumed.
  • Dissatisfaction with AI-generated output quality (AI outputs are inherently variable — see Terms of Service section 8).
  • Change of mind after credits have been used.
  • Failure to cancel a subscription before the auto-renewal date.
  • Account termination due to violation of the Terms of Service.
  • Requests made more than 60 days after the original transaction.

6. How to Request a Refund

Send an email to [email protected] with the following information:

  • Your account email address
  • The transaction ID (found in your payment receipt)
  • The date of the purchase
  • A brief explanation of why you are requesting a refund

We aim to respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds are processed through our payment provider and credited to your original payment method.

7. Chargebacks

We encourage you to contact us first before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. Chargebacks are costly to process and can result in automatic suspension of your account pending review. If a chargeback is found to be invalid or fraudulent, we reserve the right to terminate the associated account and pursue recovery of the disputed amount.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. Refund terms applicable to a purchase are those in effect at the time the purchase was made.
